About The Baker

Sweets by Jocelyn was founded in 2006 when Jocelyn C Chambers was just 9-years old. She launched with just one product: Her family’s Lemon 7up Pound Cake. This southern staple sold at a local Austin art gallery for over two years and created a loyal following. In summer 2020, almost 15 years later, Sweets by Jocelyn made its west coast debut with pies! Chambers specializes in giving family recipes new life and developing multi-dimensional gourmet desserts with fresh, innovative ingredients. Sweets by Jocelyn is Black-owned, and each treat is always homemade with love.

Jocelyn C Chambers is a composer-creative based in Los Angeles, CA. She primarily scores film and ads, but does not limit herself to any one creative path. In her book, The Era of Mixed Feelings, she has used her skills as a writer to encourage young people and vocalize her passion for social justice. Through her online magazine, Majesty Mag, she has used her photography to highlight the beauty of women of color and bring multitudes of communities together. Her most recent project, The I Am Loved Podcast, advocates self-healing and growth for women who have experienced heartbreak. Through these endeavors (and many more), Chambers has shown her love for people and her dedication to their representation. Chambers is currently working as a staff composer at Butter Music and Sound, and is a recipient of the 2021-2023 NBCUniversal Composer Diversity Initiative. She is determined to shake up the Hollywood film industry, and ensure it reflects the diversity of the world we live in, so she, and other creatives of color, do not feel alone.
